My most memorable Birds in Flight Photography Series of 2015

Captured during some low light testing with a Canon EOS 70D / Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM lens combination at Woodbridge Island, Milnerton Cape Town.

Surrounded by mostly the Cape winter weather and heavy cloud cover I decided to call it quits very quickly. Miserable and on my way home I noticed a lonesome seagull dropping an egg or a shell in the water and collecting it again and again from the lagoon.

Just to get something on the empty SD memory card I took a few shots of this monotonous behaviour. It was only during post-processing that I realised it was a golf ball - most probably snatched from the adjacent Milnerton Golf Club.
