September at Kirstenbosch Garden: Spring Bird & Flower Photography Explore spring bird and flower photography at Kirstenbosch, Cape Town, featuring a female Malachite Sunbird and emerging spring flowers photographed with Canon equipment. This article is based on direct photographic observation and fieldwork at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden in Cape Town. The accompanying images were made as part of practical nature and wildlife photography using a Canon EOS 7D Mark II with an EF 100-400mm lens. The observations combine experience in bird photography, botanical photography and photographic field practice, with particular attention to composition, natural light, subject behaviour and environmental context. The article is presented as a personal photographic observation rather than as a scientific or ornithological study.
