Food Photography

In-studio braai food photography showcasing lighting techniques, styling, and controlled setups to capture rich texture, smoke, and flavour.

South Africans love to braai (barbeque) - even if it is indoors...

In-studio braai before and about good to go… with different lenses (macro lens and landscape lens)

I experimented with various Canon EOS bodies, EF lenses and Speedlite flash and eventually decided on the a 100mm macro focal length for the first close-up image and the wider EF 16-35mm f/4 IS USM lens for a much wider perspective for the second image.
