Existential Photography / Humanistic Motivation

Existential Photography and Humanistic Motivation in Photography

Existential Photography and Humanistic Motivation in Photography

My research for the following four months - to integrate Existential Photography and Humanistic Motivation into current Photography Course / Learning Objectives and Curriculum Development from 2026.

What I wish to achieve in the development of most of my different photographic courses and sessions:

Existential photography and humanistic motivation research intersect in exploring meaning, authenticity, and personal growth through visual expression. Existential photography emphasizes capturing moments that reflect deeper human truths, mortality, and individual existence.

Humanistic motivation research, rooted in thinkers like Maslow and Rogers, studies intrinsic drives such as creativity, self-actualization, and the pursuit of meaning.

Together, they highlight photography not only as an art form but also as a tool for psychological insight and self-discovery.

By merging existential awareness with humanistic principles, this field encourages individuals to use photography as a medium of reflection, empowerment, and authentic human connection. (Assistance Source: Microsoft Copilot)
