Samsung Galaxy Smartphone Photography Private Training Sessions
The one-on-one training programme / session in Milnerton, Cape Town is designed for assisting the developing Samsung smartphone photographer with mastering the fundamentals of photography and the introduction of the settings / advanced settings of the various official Samsung Camera apps.
Samsung Galaxy Camera App / Photgraphy Learning Objectives and Outcomes
The Samsung Galaxy smartphone photography training module is facilitated over a three to four hour session with specific reference to the following objectives and outcomes:
- Suited for new / amateur photographers with Samsung Galaxy smartphones
- Getting a hands-on understanding of the Samsung camera app on specific Samsung models
- Understanding and applying all / advanced Samsung camera app settings and functions
- Understanding and applying photography fundamentals (Aperture / ISO / Shutter Speed)
- Understanding and applying the Samsung app for different genres and light conditions
- Mastering photography opportunities with the most ideal exposure for various genres
- Introduction to photography challenges and composition guidelines for various genres
- Differentiate between DSLR / Mirrorless and Android smartphone photography
- Social Media Management, Marketing and Sharing of Samsung smartphone images
- Support / recommendations on possible future Samsung smartphone / camera accessory purchases (for photography purposes)
Please Note:
- Sessions are predominantly for still photography, but video features will be covered as well.
- Training will only be provided for Samsung's default camera app / updated app.
- The availability of certain features depends on the Samsung model used and Android version.
Samsung Galaxy Smartphone Photography Training will be available from June 2023.
Typical Session Overview
A short orientation / overview of the Samsung Galaxy Camera app on specific Samsung smartphones. The session will guide the photographer through the application / demonstration of the Samsung camera app settings and photography exposure values on whatever Samsung smartphone is used - depending on the specific genre(s).Post-Processing of Samsung Galaxy Images
Post-processing will be available in the Samsung smartphone or via Adobe Lightroom (other post processing apps on smartphone / or computer) for more detailed post-processing control and different file conversions (where applicable). Samsung advanced photo editing tools are pre-installed on Samsung Galaxy smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4.

High Academic Standards and Learning Environment
Each session / lesson is started with a detailed agenda and handling notes (specific to the learner's) Samsung Galaxy smartphone and specific Samsung camera app, Vernon Chalmers Photography Training Mission / Philosophy
Requirements: Own Samsung Galaxy smartphone with the official Samsung default or updated Samsung Camera app. It is highly recommended to use an external memory card for saving camera images / video (inserted into the Samsung smartphone).
Cost: R500-00 per three to four hour session per delegate. If more than one session is required costing will be adjusted pro-rata in terms of cost-effectives and scheduling. Maximum of three delegates (this will decrease the cost to R450-00 per delegate.)
